Hoi An Shopping

We got up around 8.15am after a really good sleep. We joined everyone outside for breakfast. i wanted just bacon in a roll but they didn't understand and kept bringing out bacon and egg. So it was just easier to eat it rather than trying to keep explaining. Mim was given a jelly thing as they were trying to be nice but she doesn't like them so we all had a taste. Gary didn't mind it so he ended up having 2 more brought out to him. It had a funny texture but if you thought of it as a biscuit and not jelly it was ok, so Dan and I helped him out.

After breakfast we went to the tailors. I took some 3 quarter length trousers I liked and got them copied in black. I wanted a second pair but couldn't decide what colour. I liked the denim but wasn't sure it would be right in that design. Dan chose the fabric for his suit and 2 shirts and a tie. They said he had good taste and everyone kept asking his opinion. The took his measurements so it was be a prefect fit. The more I sat and waited the more I wanted to buy things. I decided to get 3 of the same design trousers in black, grey and navy. I asked about vest tops but they were $20 so I didn't bother. All in all we spent $284 for Dan's suit and my trousers. Mags went roudn getting the whole shop! First count up was $2500 so she had to cut back. Everyone was happy with what they got.

Afterwards we walked back to the river for a drink. 4000 dong beer. Then we went back to the silk shop we visited last night to look at some pictures again. Lastnight I bought a silk purse for 9000 dong and today Dan is looking at 4 season pictures which are around $380 all framed. I'd better go and check what he's getting!!!
