We had breakfast and left the hotel at 9.30am. We had to pick up from 2 other hotels on the way to the port. We got to the ferry and it was half empty so we spralled out on 3 seats each. We slept most of the way and I took some funny photos of everyone asleep. We arrived at the port in Phi Phi and we were very hot. No one would help us as we already had accomodation booked. They wouldn't even give us a map. Luckily Mim had texted Gary so she came to meet us. It was about 10 minutes to walk and we were dripping with sweat when we arrived. We dropped our bags in the room and went for lunch. We had to find another hotel for Barbara as ours was full. she had a horrible room with no air con but came to use our swimming pool.
We spent all afternoon in the pool. It had a swim up bar but the drinks weren't very nice. we were shrivelling up from being in the water so long. George and Judy arrived after being crammed on a boat and being very hot. They joined us in the pool. We met the new addition to our group called Marina. She is Russian but lives in Boston. We had a shower and got ready for dinner. I had amazingly good ravioli and everyone enjoyed their meals. We headed down to the beach for the fun and games. They had a fire show with people spinning pois and batons. They had a skipping rope on fire so we all had a go. Dan got caught on the leg as he was getting out and got a little burn on his shin. Another girl had her hair singed. They were getting silly spinning the rope so we didn't do anymore.
Then came the limbo under a fire rod. It was very hot so we did it a few times but then it got too low. We had a dance to the music and then Dan took me back to the hotel as I didn't know my way back. He then went out to find the others. Gary went off on his own and claims he couldn't get back into his room so he slept on the floor of Mags and Marina's room. It was a good night but I felt a little worse for wear.
