I got up at 8.40am for breakfast. We said goodbye to George and Judy as they were moving to a posher hotel. I needed to find a post office so I walked a couple of miles to the main Orchard road. It was a really nice walk as the temperature was not sweltering. I got back to the hotel and just hung out with Gary, Lynn and Mags in the chill out room. Dan was still asleep.
I woke Dan up at 1pm so we could meet Chris and Mim for lunch. We went to a Japanese food court. I shared a pizza with Mags. Dan had sushi. Mim eyes were burning and her throat on fire after she ate a massive amount of Wusabi sauce. We walked back and did the final sort out of photos. We were waiting until 5pm to say goodbye to Gary. It was sad to say bye to him but we will hopefully see him again as he doesn't live too far from us in England. We gave him the offical goodbye moony and carried on with sorting out things on the computer.
Princess was going to share the shuttle bus with Gary but she blew him out last night as she was hoping her friend would take her. Sadly for her but amusing for us he friend couldn't drive and she got back too late to go with Gary. She was being really awkward about giving Mim her tour evaluation form. Mim pay depends on the forms so she was not happy. That was the final straw for us and we all just walked out without acknowledging her. We wanted to do something to her but she wasn't worth the risk.
Instead we went to Little Indian for the last supper. It felt strange without Gary there and only being 6 of us. We enjoyed a super meal and ended up ordering far too much as usual. Luckily Chris is a dustbin and helped us out again. We walked back to the hotel and at 10pm it was time to say goodbye to Mim and Chris. I have to say there were tears as we'd had such a nice time and didn't want it to end. Dan moonied at them and Mim complained that she only got one bum so Mags and I had to do it too, lol.
I was sad as I didn't get a chance to say goodbye to John and Mary but Dan stayed up watching a film in the chill out room and they came in. Dan came and got me so I could say bye. They were telling us about their day. John has tunnel vision so when Mary slipped off the edge of the curb and was laying in the road he was completely oblivious to it. People around him must have thought he was heartless. Mary was laughing so much when she was telling us and thats how we'll remember them. They really enjoyed themselves and thanked us for all the times we'd helped them. We thought they'd done brilliantly keeping up with us especially as John is 67. After all the goodbyes we went to bed excited about the next step of our journey.
