This morning we got up at 10am as it was wet. During the night it rained really heavily but we didn't get wet. We woke up to find a washed out campsite. One of the Belgium lads (we've found out his name is Jasper) got wet and Helen said there was a stream running between the vans. The mood was equally down and no one could be bothered to do anything.
We had breakfast and drove to Tweed heads again. We looked about the shops and bought a few bits and pieces before spending loads of money in the supermarket getting a week's worth of food. We bought some paper and pens too so I could do a for sale sign in the van.
I drove us back and the others were navigating, except they didn't know where we were going so I put the sat nav on. It took us round the houses to get us onto the main road. We had to tackle the steepest hill ever. Not good with 4 people plus loads of shopping. I stalled it and just had to pull the handbrake and keep my foot on the brake. I put the hazards on to warn the other cars but luckily it wasn't a busy road. A couple of cars went round us and were beeping at me but I couldn't do anything. I waited until it was clear and just rolled back down the hill so I could start the engine. Helen and Ian were dying with laughter. Dan was stressing as he's not a good passenger. We made it up the hill safely and it was a good view over the area. It was funny but scary at the same time.
We got back to the campsite and Dan played with his new skipping rope. I made the FOR SALE poster for the van and set up a blog for Pepina. Check out http://pepina555.blogspot.com
Dan cooked dinner of burgers and wedges and now we're chatting to an Aussie couple who are relocated to Queensland from Adelaide. Chad is a big aussie guy with mad curly hair and his girlfriend Denise is good to chat to too. We've made lots of friends at this campsite and are going to stay on another week now.
