Drinking fun

Last night Dan went out with Chad to get some beers as Chad and Denise were leaving. Chad is louder than Dan so you can imagine the fun we had. We were watching things on you-tube like animals attacking humans. Some were really awful and others just made us laugh. The beers and port ran out so Jasper (who wasn't drinking) drove Dan and Chad to get some more beers. They were gone ages and it turned out they had another drink at the pub and were served by Helen's friend Kim. The noise, well laughter, then started again. Dan passed out at about 1am but insisted on sleeping on my lap on the bench rather than going to bed. He drank only 1 of the beers they bought before returning back to his sleeping position. I managed to get him to go to the van. The others were calling him a lightweight and came over to rock the van. I saw them coming so I could brace myself but I had the cupboard open so loads of stuff fell out of the cupboard onto me. It all went quiet outside so I looked out and saw Ian and Chad trying to sneak up again. I even opened the back curtain so they knew I was watching them but they were too busy laughing (and too drunk!) to see me. They thought we were up to no good in the van as it was rocking (I was picking up the things that had fallen over in the first rocking!) so were trying to sneak a photo. I told them it was no good as Dan had passed out. Chad passed me his camera so I could take a photo of Dan being a lightweight. I thought they'd leave us alone then but once I fell asleep I was woken again by them rocking the van.

This morning I woke up and was telling Ian about the fun we had. Another couple were eating breakfast and the woman said to me "I hope they are all sick after keeping us awake last night". I apologised and she said she'd been into the office but they wouldn't give her a refund. I asked her where she was staying and they had been in a car near Jasper's tent. She walked off before I could talk to her some more. The campsite is big enough that if we were too loud they could have just moved to another site or even come and ask us to be quiet. Some people just like to complain!

Chad and Denise were packing up their tent. A camera crew were filming for Queensland Weekender program which promotes attractions within their own state. They filmed us but we didn't know what to do to try and act natural. They didn't film much. Loki was filmed again. He's already been in it once at another place they stayed at. Dan woke up and got up. We said goodbye to Chad and Denise and just chilled out for a while. Dan cured his hang over with a hair of the dog.

In the afternoon we all played in the pool. Dan was messing about with Jer and Loki. Jasper and Helen took some really good photos. I will upload the photos later as there are some good ones. We were being human pyramids with 6 people. After swimming Dan had a sleep while I washed Pepina, had a shower and cooked dinner!

Now we're looking at the photos to each others computers and now we've got so many things connected it looks like an electrical factory.

Tomorrow we are leaving here and heading to Coffs Harbour with a stop at Byron Bay.
