Today's task was sorting out our Visa for Vietnam. This is the only one we have to get prior to arrival. We needed a photo for it so we decided to get all the photos we needed as we need 2 for Loas and 2 for Cambodia too. We walked to the post office but they only did 4 photos so they said try the chemist. They did 6 photos so we had them done there. If we'd have known they did photos there we could have got them yesterday.
We walked to STA travel, which was a difficult task as Dan's legs are hurting him from a workout he did 2 days ago. We saw Steph who booked Damelza's South America trip. She told us we had to have a post office order to pay for it as they do not accept cash. So we had to walk back to where we'd just come from (although we found a closer post office which saved us some walking). We had the least friendliest lady serve us but we got what we needed. We walked back to STA and had to fill in all the forms. They sent off the passports for us but it cost us $100 for the courier. Along with the $144 it cost us for both our visas, today was another day of spending lots of money and having nothing to show for it. It'll all be worth it though I'm sure.
Tonight I decided to cook a roast dinner. We watched a cooking programme of a chef called Huey and he said the secret to roast potatoes was to let them cook for a long time. It worked! We had the best roast potatoes ever. It was really hot cooking even though it was only around 25C today. Now we're watching the final of celebrity masterchef.
