This morning Damelza was going to go to the gym early but her trainer couldn't make it so she stayed in bed as she was "working from home"!!! We got up about 10.30ish and all sat in the lounge on a laptop each. We were discussing our options for Perth, Asia and how to get home. We were going round and round in circles as nothing would fit together as we wanted. We looked at loads of different tours but none were anywhere near as good as the one we had found already. We couldn't work out how to fit Perth in so that it was worthwhile going but also not going to cost us the earth. We decided it would be cheaper to cancel the flights, losing $55 each. That way we can spend New year with Damelza and still be able to make the tour in Asia on 4th January. We have credit from the flights so we are toying with the idea of all of us flying up to Sydney for New Years Eve. Most of the hostels have a minimum stay of 10 days so we almost gave up with the idea until we remembered what the campsite told us when were there. Dan rang them and they remembered us and said to ring up after Christmas and they'd see if they could squeeze us in. It means leaving it late but it's an option. We'd have to borrow a tent but I'm sure that wouldn't be too difficult.
Dan and I went into town to pay the money into the bank and try and sort out the flights. However, we got side tracked in a sports store and ended up spending $199 some weights. It was a good deal as it has a mixture of weights so all of us can use them and it had a $50 voucher with it which we bought some boxing pads with (the reason we went into the shop in the first place!) It works out cheaper than going to the gym. Trouble is we had to get 50kg home. The weight box had wheels on but was awkward to drag. Dan kept hitting his heels but I couldn't help him as it was too heavy for me. I carried the barbel bar which was still heavy but I wasn't allowed to moan as Dan had to carry the weights up 3 flights of stairs. He was dripping with sweat when he got to the top but it was worth the effort.
Damelza took a break from her work (I don't quite know how facebook counts as working though) and she showed us her boxing workout. We took a little while to co-ordinate ourselves but had a good workout. Damelza was really impressive and sounded like a proper gym buff. She kept telling me things and I had to remind her I have done it before. It's good to see she's so enthusiastic about it and it's showing in her fitness. We had a fun session and are planning our own workouts.
I cleaned up as the flat had looked like a bomb hit it again! Dan is cooking dinner and Damelza is still "working".
