Spending money

I'm not going to write the blog every day now as I don't think we'll be doing much that is worth writing about. Yesterday we went to Victoria market to buy all our Christmas pressents. We managed to get something for everyone we wanted. We were going to meet Andy and Lisa but they weren't back in Melbourne until the afternoon so we had lunch and then came back to Damelza's flat. We had a work out with our new weights.

I went into town to find out how much it would cost to send the presents but the place I went to was very complicated so we'll have to find an easier way. On the way back I stopped off at STA travel to find out about our flights home and the tour. The girl, Lindsay, was very helpful and held the flights for us so I could talk to Dan about it.

I came home and Dan cooked us meatballs and pasta and made some burgers for tomorrow. We arranged to meet Lisa and Andy today as they were too tired last night.

This morning we got up after another very hot night. During the night I got up and got the ice pack from the freezer and Dan got some ice cubes. It was so hot!!! We got up at 9ish so we could sort the flights out. Lindsay wasn't in until 11 so Jo sorted out the flights for us. We booked flights from Melbourne to Hanoi (Vietnam) which stops in Siagon before the tour. The flight home was more complicated. We are flying from Singapore to Heathrow with a 2 night stop over in Dubai! We splashed out in Dubai booking a 5* hotel, a desert safari and airport transfers. It'll be nice to treat ourselves just before we get back home. Lindsay came in and tried to sort out our tour for us but because we want to pay in pounds she can't book it. Her price match was about $300 out too because of the exchange rate difference. They were both very helpful and we left really excited.

We got back and tried to meet up with Andy and Lisa but they were doing something and would ring us back. However, I took the battery out of my phone (as I need to get a new one) and forgot to switch it back on! So we missed seeing them as they couldn't get in touch. They're still here tomorrow so hopefully we'll catch up then.

We managed to sort out going to Sydney for New Years Eve. We are going back to Lane Cove campsite as the travel group has confirmed that we have a space. We are trying to get Jasper and Jerone to come to. We booked our flights using most of the credit from the cancelled Perth flight. We still need to borrow a tent or buy a cheap one but it should be good fun. I'm so excited about everything we've booked up. Only got to sort out the tour now as we have to contact the English office but have to wait because of the time difference.

The weather today started off very hot but has cooled from 35C to 26C after a bit of a storm. It's made it slightly more bearable but only slightly, lol.
