Dan cooked us dinner of spaghetti and meat balls. As always it was really nice :-)
We walked to the bowling and met up with Damelza's friend Bee. They had to join up as members to make the most of the 2 for 1 offer. Dan and I had joined up online but we still had to give him our details. We had to spell our names as usual but I was shocked that I had to spell co for my email address. We fitted on our snazzy velcro shoes and started bowling. Dan started off pretty well but it was Damelza who got the first stike of the night. It was a pretty close game between us three but I think the more beer Dan drank the worse he got! I perfected my technique of literally throwing the ball down the lane, making it bounce really hard. Dan was laughing at my shot putt technique but when I finished with a total of 125 to his measily 107 he soon stopped. Even better was that with Damelza's last bowl she beat him by 1 point.
So the second game Dan had a point to prove. He started off well and I was really rubbish. But then I got two strikes and two spares all in a row (sadly no turkey!) and I was back in the game. We were all trying to beat our scores from the first game. Dan got a spare so needed to just knock 1 down to beat it but the pressure (or the beer!) got to him and he missed them all. I then had to get 1 as well and I just managed to knock it down. It was really fun. Dan said I only enjoyed it because I won :-)
After the bowling we went to the Irish pub. There was a singer on in there who was pretty good. I wanted to dance but Dan wouldn't. I was convinced Bee was Australian because of her accent but apparently she's from Birmingham. We were talking about Aussie Rules footy as her husband knows a lot about it and Dan was impressing us with what he'd learnt while we were at the cinema.
We left the pub about 10.15pm (way, past my recent bedtimes!) and waited with Bee to get the tram home. We got home and I spoke to my Dad for a little while. Dan fell asleep while I was on the phone (a rare occurance that Dan was asleep before me!) and I eventually went to sleep around 11.30pm.
This morning though I was still got up when Damelza got up. We recorded a birthday message for my dad and I read my book for a little while while I waited for sleeping beauty to wake up ready for our action packed day, lol!!!
