The weekend

Last night Dan and I went out to the pub. Dan had a guiness but like they say it doesn't travel very well. It was nice and warm in the pub and we sat on a comfy sofa and I could have quite easily curled up there and gone to sleep. which she did! Thanks for that comment Dan. I was merely resting my eyes, lol! We got back to the flat after only being out about an hour. Damelza couldn't believe it we were back so soon but once we fell asleep on the sofa she could see how shattered we were. It must still be the jet lag because we hardly did anything during the day.

This morning we woke up around 8.30am. We had a play on the wii and Dan spoke to his dad, even if he couldn't hear him most of the time because his dad had muted his mic. We had breakfast and got ready to go swimming. We went to Richmond Leisure Centre which has an olympic size swimming pool. Dan and I swam a mile in just under 50 mins. Damelza swam too but didnt keep count. Dan thought Damelza was living the dream in the deep end but she was actually treading water with her arms in the air. It was knackering swimming 50m front crawl but it was much easier than having to keep turning after only 25m.

After the swimming we went to Prahran Market. We only had 15 mins parking so just had a quick look round and bought some nice things for lunch and some flowers for my cousin and aunt. We could've easily eaten lunch as we were walking around the market as they were giving away sausages, dips and ham to try. We were supposed to be at my cousin Carries at 2pm but we still had to eat lunch. We ate a picnic style lunch on the lounge floor. It was really nice.

We drove to Carrie's about 30 mins away. On the way we drove around the Formula 1 Street track at Albert Park. I think Damelza is trying to compete with Schmacher for the vacant Ferrari position! She wasn't speeding but was taking the racing line on some corners. She was a very good tour guide pointing out the podium and pit lane etc. We're going to go back nearer the race time in our camper van :-)

We got to Carrie's and Auntie Lina, Uncle Joe, Suzanne (Carrie's daughter) and Bradley (Carrie's son) were there. We had a tour of the house and then Joe (Carrie's husband) arrived home. We played on Bradley's wii. It was really good as we could play some 3 player games as we had 3 remotes. We had a break from the wii to eat dinner. We had roast chicken, with mash, lettuce, yorkshire puddings, stuffing, gravy etc etc. We let the food go down and had another play on the wii. My mum and dad rung and spoke to us all, well they forgot to speak to Damelza! We played boxing on the wii and Bradley was being the referee, counting us out when we got knocked out. We had some apple pie and custard for pudding. Bradley started to come out of his shell after being so quiet when we arrived.

Suzanne took Auntie Lina and Uncle Joe home and we stayed for a cup of tea and then left about 8.30pm. It didnt take us too long to drive home. Now I'm just writing up this with Damelza and Dan adding in little bits. I don't think it'll be too long until we're all sound asleep though as I think we're all tired after the swimming.
