Today's blog will be very short as we haven't done anything. The highlight was going to the market to buy the sea food for Damelza and Dan's dinner! We had a wii challenge where we taught each other the secrets we had worked out so now we are both pretty good at bowling and I am awesome at baseball (Dan is improving!). I have read loads of my book which I have been reading for about 6 months as I haven't had the time. Dan also did a spread sheet so we could work out a budget for while we're here. It's dependant on a lot of factors like the exchange rate, how much we pay for our camper van etc etc but we have roughly $50 per day.
I have been trying to get hold of my cousin Jacqueline for weeks and today she rang me. She is going to pick us up from the airport when we go to Cairns and help us to get our camper van. It's a load off my mind as I was really starting to worry about it. We looked on the internet for vans but they were either too expensive, too old or just a few thousand kilometers out of our way!!! We saw some really nice vans well within our budget with everything we could every imagine in it, like a fridge, microwave, double bed and even air conditioning. I suppose it'll just be a case of looking around to make sure we find what we want as we will be spending a lot of time in it.
Dan is now cooking the seafood with rice for Damelza. Her personal trainer says she shouldn't be eating Carbs but how can she resist Dan's spicy rice, it's yummy :-) especially as she'll walk through the door any moment now after a hard step session at the gym and find it ready and waiting for her. I, on the other hand, am dreading the flat smelling of fish for the next few days!!!!!
