Bowls

Last night we played a few games of triangular dominoes. We played the simple version and it was good fun. Then Dan got the cards out and was supposed to be explaining to everyone how to play cheat but instead was impressing them all with his card tricks! At about 10 the older couples went and we stayed chatting to Helen and Ian until about 11.45pm. The lights went out in the kitchen area at 10.30pm but we just moved to the light near the pool.

This morning I got up at about 8.30am. Dan's side of the van had the sun on again so he got up soon after. We had breakfast and then I shaved Dan's hair. He didn't want it short onto so I had to blend in the back and sides. Ian helped me do it. We chilled out by the pool doing some exercises. Then I walked to supermarket to get some things for lunch. When I got back Dan and Ian were playing bowls at the centre next to us. They thought they were experts but really didnt' have much of a clue what to do. I was hungry so I made my lunch and then Dan decided he wanted a bacon roll so I had to make his as he was still playing bowls. Helen and I went over to join them after we'd finished eating. It was only $2 to have a roll up. We practised a bit and then played a game. Ian and Helen beat us 10-5. Dan was enjoying it but I was bored by the slow pace of the game.

Helen and I left them to it. I turned Pepina round so Dan wouldn't get the sun on his side in the morning. Then we went for a swim. About an hour later the men came back after playing yet another game of bowls. They are really into it now!!! I reckon they'll go again and maybe get some coaching. They did really well in the end but still no where near as good as the oldies who play!!!!
